Staff Civil Engineer

East-West Engineering, PLLC is a woman, minority, and veteran owned civil and environmental engineering firm specializing in land and infrastructure improvement and development services. We offer personalized service and are driven to deliver the right solutions to meet our clients’ needs and are seeking a staff level civil engineer to join our team at our West Hartford, CT office. Under supervision and working directly with experienced staff and licensed Professional Engineers, the successful candidate will assist in the preparation of engineering studies and designs, technical calculations and reports, land use permits, construction plans and specifications as well as construction support services in the following areas:


Specific Tasks Include:

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate in Civil Engineering
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently and with team members

This is primarily an in-office position. Environmental Project Manager

East-West Engineering is seeking an Environmental Project Manager with 10+ years of relevant site assessment, investigation, and remediation experience to join our team. As part of our team, you’ll work on a variety of site investigation and remediation projects, environmental assessments, soil management plans, and environmental studies in Connecticut and in New York.


Specific Tasks Include:

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology or Environmental Engineering with 10 or more years of site investigation and/or remediation experience
  • Progressive experience in conducting environmental site investigations and remediation site activities and managing and assigning tasks to junior staff
  • CT LEP license preferred but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who can mentor junior team members
