Judy Ascano Schuler, P.E.
President

Judy serves as the President of East-West Engineering, PLLC and has 18 years of experience in the civil engineering industry serving both public and private sector clients. Her experience includes project management, design, permitting, and construction support services for land development projects, including residential subdivisions and complexes, commercial and retail projects, community projects, and schools. Additionally, Judy has completed UST and AST replacement and utility upgrade projects. She has extensive experience in making presentations before land use regulatory agencies, and has worked with numerous municipalities throughout the State of Connecticut. She has prepared and submitted permit applications to the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, the CT Department of Construction Services, and the United States Army Corp of Engineers. As a United States Air Force Officer, Judy was involved in the cradle to grave execution of design and construction projects on military installations and coordinated with Army, Navy, Air Force, and other Department of Defense installation and command engineers. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut and New York.

In her community, Judy is a volunteer religious education teacher, serves as a team manager in the West Hartford youth sports program, and has volunteered in the schools.

Bob serves as Vice President of environmental services at East-West Engineering, PLLC. He has over 30 years of experience as an environmental engineer and consultant working for private and public sector clients in Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island. Bob’s expertise includes all phases of environmental site assessments, The Connecticut Transfer Act, and the design and permitting of soil and groundwater remediation systems. Bob also has prepared soil management plans to address contaminated soil and fill at large scale construction projects and has authored several professional articles. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island and a Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) in Connecticut.

Away from work, Bob is a member of the University of Hartford CETA Board of Visitors and mentors engineering students. He also volunteered as a member of East Hartford’s Inland Wetland and Conservation Commission for ten years.
